Caregiving, Respite for Caregivers, Stress Management, Family Caregivers -- AARP
Wednesday 11th August 2010
The Rosenwald Project officially kicked off on Saturday, June 19th, at The President’s Box in Clemson’s Death Valley. (Photos) The night featured highlights of The Rosenwald Project Documentary, which tells the story of the original Rosenwald Program from both a national and local perspective. The interview footage we have left is amazing, and we hope to release it soon.
In addition, there are several opportunities coming up for you to support The Rosenwald Project. The Oconee Senior Center, along with Emily’s Boutique, will sponsor a fashion show on Sunday, October 3rd, and SENIOR Solutions will host a golf tournament on Monday, October 18th, at Cross Creek Plantation.
It certainly was a fantastic start, but we have a long way to go to make our vision a reality. Currently, our Oconee Senior Center has an entire wing that sits unoccupied. With monies raised through private donations as well as Rosenwald-specific grants, we can provide additional space for learning, socializing and exercising — all while preserving a historical building that has served Seneca since 1925.
We invite you to watch our brief, 10-minute video to learn how our campaign will preserve Seneca’s past and ensure a future for the city’s seniors.
