Volunteer & Wish List

SENIOR Solutions is a non-profit organization, and we rely not only on monetary contributions, but donations of items and volunteer services as well. This way of giving helps us maintain and improve our facilities.

This is our “Wish List.” Hopefully, you can help make one of our wishes come true.

Market Place Cinema Senior Center (Anderson)

  • In need of an automatic door opener for our main entrance to serve seniors better. (Estimated cost, $1700)
  • Two-three sets of new or gently-used patio furniture.
  • Mulch for our flower beds.
  • Coffee
  • Antibacterial wipes
  • New or like-new computers for our computer lab.
  • Large groups to paint indoors and lines in our parking lot.

Oconee Senior Center (Seneca)

  • SENIOR Solutions is in need of volunteers to deliver meals to home-bound seniors in Seneca. This is a great way to serve your community. Routes take only about an hour to complete, but your little investment goes a long way in helping seniors in real need. Contact Deborah Cobb of SENIOR Solutions at 864-885-1000, ext. 203.
  • An art teacher to instruct a class one a week.
  • New or like-new computers for our computer lab.

Lakeview Assisted Living (Walhalla)

  • Good canister vacuum
  • 20 new matching dining room chairs with arms
  • 4 or 5 new matching love seats for lobby
  • 3 or 4 new matching chairs for Lobby
  • 3 or 4 new chairs for activities room – NOT recliners
  • 2 new locking 4-drawer, letter-size file cabinets
  • 1 new office desk with office chair
  • Someone to screen in residents back smoking porch
  • Someone to repair and replace boards on back emergency exit ramp
  • Someone to clean outside and inside of all facilities windows
  • Someone to go through, organize and clean out basement

Market Place Cinema Adult Day Care (Anderson)

  • Entertainment volunteers (singers, dancers, clowns, ventriloquist)
  • Dishwasher
  • Two DVD players
  • Recliner
  • Ice Maker
  • Porch Furniture
