Living Well South Carolina
Living Well South Carolina is a six-week program that helps seniors to manage chronic pain naturally — through exercise, nutrition and medication management. Sponsored by the Lieutenant Governor’s Office on Aging and developed by Stanford University, Living Well SC is an evidence-based program, meaning results are proven through study and research.
The program is offered at no cost through SENIOR Solutions, but a small donation is requested to help cover the cost of textbooks. Registration is required. Call Mary Korte 225-3370, ext. 139, to sign up.

Health Ministry-Parish Nurse
“Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.” — 3 John 1:2
SENIOR Solutions uses our wealth of resources to build and support leaders in local churches. This wholistic program promotes the understanding that one’s faith life is deeply connected to one’s lifestyle choices and experience of health.
Through our comprehensive training program, volunteer Registered Nurses are prepared for Parish Nursing (Faith Community Nursing) based on the published Scope and Standards of the American Nurses Association. In addition, congregation members from varied backgrounds are welcome to attend classes to become Health Promoters. Our vital programs are implemented with a special focus on the needs of senior members to facilitate their understanding of the healthy choices that will reduce risk for disease and improve their quality of life.
Lastly, due to the increasing number of home-bound and family caregivers, training classes now include strategies for development of congregational support teams for caregivers.
If interested, Call Mary Korte, RN, at 622-1739 to find out how your church can get involved.
