Our SENIOR Access program is an information and referral service for any senior-related topic, including financial, legal and mobility issues. We also offer Medicare counseling.
Frequent help we provide includes:
- Help with food stamps (SNAP)
- Re-certification for food stamps and Medicaid
- LIS Low-Income Subsidy (extra help with drug prescriptions)
- Finding senior housing or assisted living
- Helping find home care
- Help finding home contractors
- personal care items for the home
- help with paperwork for insurance and other matters that are often confusing to seniors.
After listening and evaluating an individual’s situation, our case managers can either direct a person to a program or service offered by SENIOR Solutions or make arrangements with an alternate source who can help. Either way, we’ll ensure a client’s needs are met. Our program even includes long-term management and follow ups.

South Carolina Legal Services (SCLS) provides free legal services in a wide variety of civil (non-criminal) legal matters to eligible low income residents of South Carolina. SCLS is a non-profit corporation, funded by grants from the federally funded Legal Services Corporation, the South Carolina Bar Foundation, the South Carolina Bar, local United Ways, state court filing fees, and other federal, state and local funding.
