How It All Works

  • • FoodShare Anderson is a program that supports a healthy lifestyle for our Anderson County residents by offering a Fresh Food Box filled with 18-22 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables at wholesale prices.

  • • Contents change every two weeks based on in season produce availability and best pricing.

  • • Becoming a FoodShare participant is open to anyone. There are no income requirements.

  • • Boxes are pre-ordered, and contents are unknown at time of purchase. This allows bulk buying through our local produce supplier and ensures we receive the best available wholesale prices.

  • • All program participants are asked to complete a New Participant Form. This information is kept confidential and information is used for program assessments and funding purposes.

  • • Participants may choose to pick-up boxes at whichever site is most convenient. Make sure FoodShare staff are informed of your preference.

  • • Boxes not picked-up during pick-up times will be donated within our community.
